Another alternative is to use the CC controller page from Imaginado's LK (either inside a Drambo channel) or alongside on iOS - or if you want to sequence the automation using hardware get a Digitakt and pipe Drambo to the Digitakt's outputs while driving the Digitakt from Drambo and driving the Drambo from the Digitakt...
This Hercules controller (Model: Starlight) has served as a DJ style controller model for Giku and me while testing MIDI controller support.
Two wheels that can also be used to scratch 2 Flexis, a horizontal crossfader, two vertical faders (e.g. for fine pitch or bpm adjustment), many many buttons (banks of buttons are implemented directly in hardware) and a few knobs to control filters, effects etc.
I have seen them listed for about 70 Euros, but no one seems to have any in stock, perhaps it has been discontinued? At that price, it's certainly worth trying out.

I have an LC2 and it came with a 3x AA battery box on the bottom.

True, the Elektron boxes could be used as Midi controllers, they all have endless encoders and many buttons.
They only seem to send absolute CC values over MIDI though. If there's a method to send relative/incremental CC then I'd love to know how!
I’m afraid that you are right, Elektron doesn’t support relative CC. 🙄
Not a BCR2000:

Build quality is quite OK for the price.
Are the knobs encoders? They look like pots to me.
BTW, will there be some pre-made templates available in Drambo for the popular MIDI controllers?
Yes, only the scratch wheels are encoders so it might not be your only controller. But they have high resolution.
I can recommend the old Beatstep: 16 encoders and 16 velocity and pressure sensitive pads.
BTW, do you have any price and release date info about the Behringer CMD PL-1?
If anyone actually wants to try one of these, I have one for sale (UK)
As for Behringer CMD PL-1, it seems it was released in 2012

Another one from B... the price is pretty good for 16 encoders, 9 motorized faders and a bunch of buttons.
This one looks quite useful!
I think that param feedback (LED rings and button colors) can take a while to be added to Drambo though...
The little brother. Around 50 Euros.
There is one for sale locally for 230 Euros, I am tempted to get it, just so I can try it out... but then what am I going to do with the BCR2000? 😏
You could sell it to me haha.
I foolishly sold mine off about 4 years ago. They seemed to be easily acquired and still in production at the time. I’m kicking myself for it now 😩
Brainwash it with the Zaquencer firmware.
I wonder if the motorfaders are loud?
the light trallala won't work
there is no feedback back from drambo to controller
but 50€ is amazing
The buttons output notes not Midi CC’s, why oh why?! I would not pay 50 Euros for it...
Drambo doesn't care, you can map both 😊
That’s just my setup, the low notes are being used for transposition by other synths, so not Drambo’s fault... 😀
16 encoders, 9 45mm faders, 10 LED buttons, 28 buttons... About 250 Euros.
Presonus Atom SQ:
Wonder if anyone actually tried it out after all the discussion?
@cozido Drambo doesn't support parameter feedback yet.
No matter how fancy your controller is, it will still be limited to sending MIDI to Drambo.
No LED rings, no illuminated pads with different colors, no current values on the LCD.
We can always hope... 😉
A good overview on the problem re Midi display feedback;
Doh! How did I miss that?! It does have a touchscreen... the very first line on the tech spec:
Fired up the old BCD3000, and it worked like a charm - plenty of buttons and knobs, 1 crossfader, and 2 encoders.
Here it is in action with the Drambo stand-alone:
