Audio Unit error?
One of my favorite features of Drambo is that you can use the typing keyboard connected to the iPad as a virtual piano roll.
When I have an AU loaded and open, this feature stops working. Once I minimize the AU, it starts working again. Is this an error or is this by design?

It's an iOS limitation I believe.
Yes. The keyboard input goes to the frontmost app, the one which has the focus.
