Scrolling Track Rack on MacOS
I cannot figure out how to scroll left and right in a track Module Rack using my mouse on MacOS. I am using a generic 3 button mouse and the problem is the same whether I am running the Drambo plugin in Ableton Live or in Standalone on MacOS.
Tera Pro which also has modules that can be expanded out of the apps window dimensions behaves ok, I can scroll left and right with a mouse click and drag.
Anyone know a solution/workaround for this?

On the iPad, you can just tap/drag on the dark body of a module. That should be click/drag on the Mac.
2 finger scroll left & right on a trackpad
I don't have a trackpad. I only have a generic 3 button mouse.
Anyone else having the same issue?
oh thats an odd input method
a 3 button mouse on a Mac 🤷🏻♂️
get a mouse with a wheel ?
or something that understands gestures?
haven't used a generic mouse on the Mac since years & years - because they can't do gestures ...
Hi Lala
The middle 'button' is one with a wheel. It clicks and rotates, very high tech!
I can scroll the clip view the wheel. it is just the track module view I cannot navigate when there are modules that go beyond the app window.
I suppose I should upgrade my mouse but it would be good to know if a new mouse or trackpad will solve the issue before purchasing, hence asking if anyone else has or doesn't have this issue when using Drambo on MacOS.
I am using MacOS 13.
@J_T have you tried holding shift or some other modifier while scrolling with the wheel? That works for me in my text editor and Apple Music
@NoiseFloored I've tried every key modifier I can think of. I'm new to MacOS so maybe I'm missing something. Seems strange that the issue doesn't exist for Tera Pro though.
Is nobody else here using Drambo on MacOS?
I can't imagine using a Mac without 2 and 3 finger gestures ... ;)
pinch to zoom ect.
😲
a 3 button mouse is the last input device you want to use on a Mac
u can even write your signature on the trackpad ...
@J_T there's I just tried myself and couldn't either. I even tried with the input remapping app I normally use and nothing worked, so it looks like this needs to be implemented
@lala I do have both of them; they come with the package the company I work for gives to every employee. I used to use the Magic Mouse quite a lot, but my hand was getting tired when using most gestures, especially swiping two fingers to change browser tabs. Tilting the wheel of my mouse seems to be a lighter burden on my fingers. I rarely used other gestures (I prefer a keyboard shortcut for, say, revealing my desktop), and pinch-to-zoom never felt as natural as it does on the trackpad.
there are lots of other "apps from iPad on Mac" that use 2 finger gestures
scrolling on Moog 15 is like scrolling in drambo with 2 fingers ...
so I guess the solution needs to be provided by apple?
the workaround is this
@lala Thanks for the help with setting up gestures. Have you been able to use your trackpad or Magic Mouse with Drambo successfully? Can you click on the body of a module and scroll the whole module rack left or right if the amount of modules on the rack extend beyond the application window?
on the Mac trackpad I do a 2 finger swipe left right
just like you swipe in drambo on iPad
OK thanks I will give your solution a go
@lala I managed to put your solution into action. Unfortunately those scripts only perform key codes and not trackpad gestures. I'm trying to find the correct commands in the AppleScript reference but no luck so far.
