2.40 update.
Thanks for the great update @giku!
Unfortunately the new modules are missing from the tagged section again.
I don’t think this is as a result of the update but using the piano roll with an Apple Pencil is very difficult. I’ve experienced this with other apps in the past too: if there is even the tiniest bit of movement of the Pencil tip on the surface as it is tapped, the note will not be registered/placed. If you really concentrate on ensuring there is no movement, it works as expected but it’s not set up for regular usage, something is far too sensitive. Hopefully something you can take a look at when you get a chance. Using a finger works without any problems.
Thanks again, amazing additions.

Great update. Stoked for the sequencer module cycles condition bug being fixed the most 😬 - Thank you!!
Don’t have an Apple Pencil to test so apologies, this post mentions the tags not being registered for the modules; I’ll add on that several of the new modules didn’t seem to have any help info shipped with this update - no biggie obviously but since it’s been mentioned about the tags here I figured I might as well point this out too 🙏🏽
(I did check to see if clicking a different module header and going back would reveal the help info, sometimes that works, but alas it didn’t this go around.)
Buying a pencil and fixing. (it was never my thing on touch devices :)
quick bug report: the spectral freeze seems to just work for me, even though I haven’t got the IAP for Waves.
I see you guys discussing IAPs and I can’t remember where those modules belong, as I buy each IAP without second thought
Is there a quick way to change the port mapping & feedback mapping for an entire MIDI profile ? The MIDI map setting is only offering an "Apply to all in: x Section" option.
I am asking because the port name for the Launchpad Mini MK3 is wrong (at least with the latest firmware). It should be:
Launchpad Mini MK3 LPMiniMK3 MIDI Out (or In)
On the burger menu under settings you should have the LP whatever, make sure the control button is lit
then while in midi map mode (the top left-ish smiley) choose the right profile
I'm excited for updates, thank you Drambo devs!
Hope I can figure out how to use the new stuff! 😁
I know it says that on the release notes but someone said it’s actually part of the DSP Extension.
and you don’t got Waves! Damn.
That’s going above and beyond; amazing, thank you @giku.
Each to their own of course, but I find using the pencil the perfect way to interact with Drambo - the greater precision of the stylus tip etc.
Perhaps having a pencil will inspire you…maybe you could come up with a Pencil Pressure module for example which could allow the user to record changes in pressure on the screen over a set time and use the resulting curve could to modulate/automate other parameters? Or give xy pads an optional pressure sensitivity parameter as well as the x and y coordinates? So few apps have explored the possibilities of the pencil as a MIDI controller.
Thanks again.
Lots of crash with this release. I cant really use the recorder on my Ipad pro 10.5 and same thing with my Mac mini m4.
Where do i send the crash logs ?
Did you restart your systems after installing? How many background apps are running? Any apps that might fight over taking control of Audio?
Maybe uninstall and reinstall after you back up your files.
I'm not getting any crashes, rock solid on my end on Macbook Air m1, iPhone 14 pro, iPad Air M2

Hi, find and replace in the XML file worked for me (changing extension to from .drmapping to .xml on computer, that is).
Hi all, new here but have used Drambo for some time. Great update!! I was procrastinating on a work task today and ported/adapted the .drmapping from LaunchPad Mini mk3 to the Launchpad Pro MK 3. I posted it to patchstorage, hope a few folks might find it useful. Best, HP

Kind of you to share this! I’m looking at an MK3 right now. This definitely makes me just want to purchase it and be done with it. Cheers
Good idea @humanprogram to share mappings on patchstorage!
Ca a zip of all original mappings be posted here (or perhaps under midi mapping documentation)?
Also I find it funny no one has found the speech synth yet. Same for the limiter that I seem to remember being a long standing request
non-working LP3 template made me learn how all that MIDI mapping stuff works. great job! 😆
also, this update made me order second LP Mini mk3 to control Drambo, since first one already controls GR2.
surprisingly, this configuration somehow works (of course they're set do have different Device IDs).
Thanks for the solution. I was able to use Textastic to replace the strings in the file directly on the iPad. I did not even need to rename the file. Here it is:
To use the fixed Launchpad Mini MK3 mapping simply put the unzipped.drmapping file into Drambos MIDI folder. The new mapping is called Launchpad Mini…. Instead of LP…
i'm not very versed in this, but you're saying the problem lies here? Just trying to understand, any clarification much appreciated
Yes. The original mapping is using "LPMiniMK3 MIDI In" and "LPMiniMK3 MIDI Out" for the port names. These are only parts of the full device name. The one I am using in the mapping file is the full device name under that the Launchpad shows up. Drambo is not unique with this problem. I had it with other apps as well. These USB MIDI device names can have three parts: A kind of friendly name, an abbreviated name and a third bit representing the virtual device name.
Thanks for explaining, I never encountered such problems under the beta, but as I said I’m not that well versed. I’m going to study this a little more
Why am I getting a metronome sound coming from the Drambo mFX plugin? Any host. I can kill it my turning down the volume in settings, but what the heck??
You’re hosting drambo inside loopy. right? I’ll try to replicate
.
.
Sorry I’ve been partying all night and haven’t quite recovered.
I meant to post this on the loopy forum 🤦♂️
Thanks for checking into it.
I've tried in AUM, Loopy Pro, and even Drambo.
It's easy to replicate. Just add Drambo FX processor to a track. You don't need anything else.
Is this working with the on-screen keyboard for everyone? I’ve entered new twxt and have yet to get any sound out of it. Help says it works in “offline” mode, I’m not sure what that means. I tried muting the module to see if that was it, didn’t work.
Any help appreciated, thanks!
edit: and I do have all the IAP’s
@TimbreChopper If I just insert the module on a blank project and press c2 on drambo keyboard it plays the test message. Doesn’t it do so for you?
you can also turn line mode, and then notes from c2 onwards play each of the text lines (if you insert line breaks in the text box)
btw, offline means each line of text has to be rendered in advance, so there are no possible changes to the speech after it starts.
