Fader multiplied
Hello Drambo users,
I finally figured out how to control 2 things with 1 slider with a neat ninja move.
Been doing that trick with shift register for quite some times but finally resolved the puzzle to make it catch value instead of jump. Scratched my head quite a bit.
Fader is divided into top half and bottom half. Quickly jumping across middle slider position register top/bottom position before racing thru and allow to control other half. Crossing again registers value of that other half and allow to take control of other half when reaching previously registered position.
Adjust slew to your taste/skill.
Just map first slider to your controller and have a look at the oscilloscopes at the end to figure it out.
A single module that does that would be awesome @giku
enjoy!

@PhC Interesting! I've never seen this kind of "ninja slider", is it used anywhere (hardware/software) ?
btw. looking at the rack, quite a smart solution!
@giku Not that I know of. :)
Got this tiny little gem of a controller and pushing the boundaries of what it can do.
Graphic shaper module can give so many purpose to a single controller, it's wild.
A request though:
Could the midi map range be shaped like the graphic shaper? I'd map a fader to a button and trigger it when fader reach min or max e.g. Flexi record button that can only be controlled thru midi.
Edit: … will need to test but perhaps setting mapping from 0-51% would do it!
I was just about to suggest setting the range accordingly ☺️
👍 hope it’ll do the trick!
Well... it does not work unfortunately. It seems Drambo midi mapping of buttons don’t work that way. Buttons mapping seems to detect every incremental movement instead of triggering past the 50% threshold.
Edit: Confirmed. There's something wrong in mapping Flexi buttons. I get the same on/off toggles when slowly moving a fader, even when using continuous CC.
