Possible Wave Scanner bug (but likely to be user error).
I set up the Wave Scanner with a graphic envelope controlling the offset so that upon a key press the wave scanner moves through the sample.
However, i only want half of the loaded sample to playback. When i load the sample in the edit mode, the orange handle is present at the end of the clip so i position it where i want the sample to end. This has no effect though, the sample always plays through in its entirety.
What’s more, after a note is triggered, the orange end marker/handle disappears and is then missing both in the module display and in the edit view.
Happens with my samples and built in factory samples.
Bug? User error?
Secondly, a question. Is it possible, in a set up like the one above, to get the wave scanner to respond to changes in MIDI pitch without every new note retriggering the graphic envelope? So that the sample could be played melodically and made to ‘sing’? Cheers.

I wish the Graphic Env had a retrig switch too 😊
I’ll take that as a ‘no, it’s not possible’ considering your expertise. What a shame. Maybe it can be considered for a future update @giku?
Thanks for responding @rs2000, appreciate it.
That’s not what @rs2000 said, it is possible, you just have generate that one gate signal yourself
You can fake a non-retriggerable gate signal like this:
But is it really what you want?
I've played with it and I'd prefer to retrigger the riff independently from playing pitches, which you could achieve by filtering MIDI notes and giving different keyboard zones different purposes (like a lower range to trigger at different offsets and a higher one to change pitch, for example).
Try this instead.
First MIDI2CV gate triggers Graphic Env 2, pitch goes to Wave Scanner and second MIDI2CV pitch modulates the Tune knob in WaveScanner.
Keys C2..B2 launch different slices and keys C3..B4 control the pitch.
Thanks @rs2000, I’ll try that later and get back to you. Cheers.
So, I’ve tried your setup @rs2000. I’ve got it to work very nicely in non slice mode (single key to trigger graphic envelope and others to alter pitch), thank you so much. With the Key>Tune automation, is there a way to set the automation amount to quantise pitch to semitones or is it just a case of tuning the level by ear?
When I try it in slice mode, using one of the ‘pitch change’ notes still results in the slice being retriggered.
No doubt it’ll be user error (and probably the cause of my problem in the slice mode) but I’m finding that the Note Filter module is really temperamental. For example, when I first load it, it seems to obey the note range set but if the note range is then changed and changed back to the original range again, it no longer works?
I couldn’t get the fake non-retriggerable gate signal to work at all unfortunately.
Thanks so much for the help, massively appreciated.
