Making automations over multiple clips easier

I love Drambo for its automation capabilities.

In the beginning I missed a time line but now I got pretty used to the pattern approach.

But sometimes it's a bit of a hassle to have an automation continue at the exact point where that specific parameter was set at the end of the previous clip of a track. Or to have an automation going to the vLus where the next clip continues the automation.

So maybe at the beginning and the end of a clip there could be something indicating where the previous clip ended the automation and the next clip continues the automation.

I am not sure this is possible because clips/patterns are not married to being played sequentially and clips can be mixed and matched…

Yeah that's a typical limitation of the pattern based approach.

In Drambo, to do what you're after, I'd rather add modulations (e.g. using Graphic Env in beat or bar mode), triggered by filtered notes so they're independent from pattern boundaries. That makes your modulations re-usable anywhere you want and you always see what's happening on the rack itself.

Thanks for the recommendation. I guess it would work, but I like to have the notes and automation somehow together.

actually I see it to be quite simple feature (not from devs pov lol)

eg: a blue dot where the same parameter last point was added in previous pattern. If you rearrange them, it automatically updated this blue dot.

then you have two option if rearrange happens:

1 - leave the automation where it was last

2 - update the automation first point to the “blue dot”

Yeah. Maybe something like that.

But for me personally the parameters should not get automatically adjusted depending on what is set in the previous or next clip.

I would just like to know easier what the last setting of a previous clip and the next setting of the next clip for a parameter are once I added an automation for it to a clip.
