P-locking with midi feedback doesn’t work right.
When I select a step when using midi feedback I get parameter jumps and cannot make the settings I’m trying to make. I’ve figured out why I think.
Say I set up my controller for midi feedback and then I select a step to change. This works perfectly with playback stopped but if playback is going the feedback makes my parameter jump with each step that plays because feedback is being sent from each step. But while that step is selected all other steps should stop sending their feedback until the step is no longer selected. Thats the way it works when you’re using Drambo standalone with no controller; if you select a step the parameter you see on the screen stays whatever it is set for that step until you stop selecting the step. Basically it boils down to when a step is selected I only want midi feedback for that step. All other steps should stop sending feedback until the step is unselected.

Scratch what I said above it doesn’t appear to be correct cause I’m getting jumps even when I only have one step being triggered. I would love for this to get sorted cause it would be a lot of fun to sequence Drambo from my controller but as it is p-locking doesn’t work right when midi feedback is enabled.
First things first: When you turn a knob on the APC, which messages does it send?
And what controller type have you set in the knob in Drambo?
From your video it looks like the APC is sending incremental messages but Drambo is set to receive absolute CC.
Please check.
Nah I just tried each of the incremental types and none of them work right. Absolute is the only one that sweeps normally.
I emailed the video above to support and they responded so hopefully that means they’ll fix it.
I noticed the same thing on my Akai APC40MK2
