Otoo app released.

Just bought and been playing around with your new app Otoo. Great fun and an absolute bargain at the price, thanks @giku.

Possible bug? Swipe down on audio nodes doesn’t seem to delete them for me as the in app help suggests?

Idea: the sampler is fun and quick to use - any chance of having an ‘Export to Flexi (or other Drambo sampler) Sampler’ option which would package the samples and mapping from the Otoo into a format recognized by the Drambo sampler?

  • Hi! Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoy it!

Just to make sure, are you talking about this screen and audio nodes on the left?

If yes, which iOS version are you on?

(There is another gesture to remove - hold, try it please)

Export to Flexi is a nice idea!

    Cheers,

    J

Ah, thanks @giku, I’ve misunderstood the Help - I thought the ‘audio nodes’ was referring to the instrument mixer knobs circled here.

I thought it was a bit odd to refer to them as audio nodes - makes sense now!

My mistake, apologies for the false alarm.

Another idea: being able to load the built in sampler into an FX slot…or some other way to be able to sample from other instruments? (I know, it’s meant to be a simple and playful app, not over complicated, but thought I’d suggest it anyway!). Cheers.

  • Hey, @giku, sorry for bothering you again but I think I might have encountered a bug?

Probably user error again but I’m not sure it’s saving projects properly?

    • I create a new project.
    • Select Save or Save As.
    • Enter project name and press Save.
    • The project name isn’t updated in the menu?
    • Selecting Save or Save As again repeats the process from scratch as if nothing’s been saved previously.

  • Love it, really immediate! Maybe it needs it's own forum category?

this app is super cool! I appreciate the simplicity. though personally, I kinda miss the following four things (in that order)

    • save audio as separate stems
    • microtiming
    • automation of parameters
    • return tracks for fx.
    • midi out and midi mapping

maybe one of those suggestions fit to the project. :) I think it makes sense to keep it as simple as possible.

  • Microtiming if I would have to select one, but it might prove the hardest

  • @giku should there be a new category on the forum for Feedback on Otoo?

  • Done :)
