Multilayer flexi synth and automatic AUv3 patches recorder
Hello fan of complex multilayer and expressively playable synths,
here is a Drambo project for you!
Its an automatic AUv3 patches flexi recorder
AND
a synth made out of 4 of those with 64 slices each to be morphed into countless permutations, velocity layered, either as poly synth or as a 64 pads drum.
I created an example loaded with Dmitrij Pavlov’s Poison-202 AUv3. Highly recommended synth.
Enjoy!
Edit: damn it’s too big, even on patch storage, 144mb… no wonder I keep my shit for myself lol
solution anyone?

Anyways, here it is, in an empty no fun state, super light and instantly boring :D
I am having a whole lot of fun with this thing, so here is the version 2 with Zeeon first 64 preset recorded on first flexi sampler.
It should be too complicated to understand, I hope. Worth it to spend some time to figure it out. ✌️
I use AUv3 synth patches but anything could be use to fill the 4 instances of Flexi samplers…
Some Crazy results with a mixed bag of instruments.
In a nutshell, slices are distributed across keyboard and 4-off flexi instances are distributed across note velocity.
Sliders are meant to be midi mapped to control the shenanigans.
Cool!
Since you asked for a solution for the huge files:
I've been using Sampler for the purpose and at least the Sampler can import .m4a compressed audio files, but total uncompressed size is currently (deliberately) limited to 64MB per Sampler instance. Make sure that you share the patch with the original compressed files and tell the user in which folder to place the samples, not by using "save with samples". Upon loading, Sampler will decompress the files.
This is a bit of a hack and I'd prefer "Save with samples" to save the samples in their original format, but that's how it is now.
Thanks for the hack @rs2000!
I’ll leave it to the curious to use it to fill the 3 flexi sampler and discover it. Quite a rudimentary project after all.
interesting project @PhC thank you for sharing!
Thanks @Intrepolicious , the pleasure was someone else's! 😁
