Graphic Shaper: Not audible noise is outputted thru the module when no audio is being passed thru
When you add a Graphic Shaper to a empty track and change the shape the VU meters of the channel(and master) go halfway, there is a audible noise when you change the shape but the rest is not audible but can imagine this affects the total sound of the mixer.
Repro:
- Add a Graphic Shaper to a empty track
- Click on the Shape display
- Draw a shape
Observed:
Audible noise is heard when change the shape afterwards the VU meters of the channel go halfway including the Master VU meter
Expected:
No audible audio should be heard when changing the shape nor should it output anything, VU meters should remain at 0 when no audio is being passed thru the track
Comments
You're directly shaping the output signal.
Because Drambo is DC-coupled, why shouldn't you hear that?
When in bipolar mode, you'll hear edits in the middle the most and in unipolar mode, you can best hear edits of the leftmost point.
Works as expected IMHO.
BTW, are you the "Turing Machine" and "LINK module" guy?
Yeah I have made a patch with shaper and no signal connected with an oscillator modulation saturation amount and/or bias. I think it’s a cool feature!
The Graphic Shaper, as simple as it is, is really an insanely flexible gold nugget 😊
yes it one of my favorites too :)
I am yes together with my friend ;)
Would be nice to have a Turing Machine module in Drambo ;)
Nice to meet you here 🤗
