Phrase sampler / resampler
This is the follow-up for recent Drumkit discussion, I have a feeling that this or similar functionality was already requested, but encouraged by @giku i will try to explain my idea. I use drambo to jam quite often, and what I'm really missing is a quick option to record a full sequence from a track and bounce it to sample, either to store it for later or sequence it from a sampler and free up some tracks. I think the functionality could probably be implemented within a flexi sampler module and would pave the way for some more advanced looping, creating octa-track-ish kind of fader mixer between input track and sample, being able to program another sequence on a track live and probably some more really cool use cases in live and studio setups. I can't make pretty mockups like some folks here, so I will try to explain it.
- In flexi sampler's module rec window, there could be a "Sequence" option within a Sync box.
- When you pick an input for a track and press record, it records the whole sequence currently playing on a track being an input from first to last step, while drambo is playing.
- Optional: there could be additional parameter popping when sequence is being chosen - loop length: default (inherits the track sequence length), 1 bar, 2 bars, 4 bars, 8 bars etc.
I know this is somewhat achievable by parameter locks, but it's a bit messy and confusing, so this would be the most optimal and elegant solution to quickly resample from tracks, without introducing another module. To be honest, I'd love anything that makes it easy and quick no matter the interface or module really.

It's achievable by setting Sync param to "Clip". This makes start/stop recording clip quantized (you can record n-clips).
That's true, but you have to stop it manually or it keeps looping. It's fine when you have a note on a first step and you know where to cut the sample to fit to bpm. If there is a silence, it's not that easy.
@giku oh damn, i just realized that i can press stop whenever and it fits to sequence. My god, what a waste of time I was having for so long trimming those to fit. Thanks, case closed 😅
EDIT: no, it's not really. It fits to next bar, but you have to count bars to record a sequence. This is helpful, but still gets complicated, especially if you're having a lot of sounds layered.
