Pretty impressive, well it was impressive the first time, but even more so being the scene module which in my experience is quite harder to vibe code. Thanks for your service @Intrepolicious 🫡
But to not just make this post pointless, you should always give @giku piano roll preset as an example template if you’re trying to LLM a midi reacting scene module 👍
wanna guesstimate how many prompts it took you to get there? Most complex I did were the breakout and the little dancing drambo, and those were like 500 lines at most
Haha, true. But I also have the suspicion our collective prompts are training it further so it has been learning a lot about drambo visuals in the meantime. Maybe it’s just coincidence but sometimes it tells me things I didn’t ask for, like replacing “by @pedro” with “by @pedro and AI assistant” and the other day it gave me “by @pedro and AI assistant and @Intrepolicious” 😅 it knows us
I just show the LLM a picture of an object, (like the tape deck for example) then describe the object best I can, along with “allow full XYZ camera rotation” something like that.

Thanks 🙏 it was a collaborative effort 🙂
My next Scene project is called “MIDI Forest” btw
While the MIDI Forest project is still in the oven, I thought I'd drop this little project file off here, if anyone's interested.
This is the new and improved EA_Boombox 3.0
Features:
In this attached project file, I've included a simple drum beat to demonstrate the signal meter movement, along with the speakers pumping.

Thank you, and you're welcome! 😊
Just a little lunch break fun
Needs a beat
I have no idea what I’m doing, poking it with a stick?

wow i love it!
pretty cool there @pedro 😍
Thanks guys, I kinda love it myself and have ideas for improvements
but really it starts all from the piano roll preset
Excellant a total inspiration
Thanks… but wait. There’s more!
See this is me at my peak performance 🙃
😍
Next Scene project cooking, a reel to reel version based on the boombox idea. This is supposed to resemble an Akai 'GX series' 255 -265
Only 1950 lines of code that I would never write myself. 😅 (Thanks CGPT!)
That’s great (as was the other)

and those took days and dozens of hours
So it did take some back and forth indeed, over the course of two days.
I showed it a screenshot of the actual Akai model, and the first iteration came out looking like this:
Then I had to provide some clarifications on my part to try steering it in the right direction. A couple examples:
I find it hilarious when it stops responding to me with dialog and just generates new code. I can almost hear it “sigh” lol

This is amazing . Ive been looking into AI courses so i get some sort of consolidated information. Its too big a cliff to drop off alone
It didnt see the geometry to start with maybe a 3 d scan would be better

super interesting. Such an amazing app.
