Update has changed pitch of my wavescanners - got a gig in 5 days pls advise!!
hey everyone and hopefully @giku if you see this and can advise
My live set has lots of wavescanners within layer switches that are tuned for my external midi sequences that control them, and they all after the recent update seem to have tuned down by just over 1 semitone
I have a very complex live set that i've been working on, over 200 iterations of it in drambo; its all controlled by my elektron syntakt - which locks it at 48000 sampling rate - this incidentally sounds like maybe the relative pitch that all my tunings have turned down to, as in the difference between audio playback at 44.1kHz vs 48kHz
my question is - is this a bug that will be fixed; or should I go through my drambo set and fix the tuning relative to this update? I just want to know before I change everything if it'll be fixed or if its now correct or what... hope this makes sense and thanks in advance to anyone who can answer - time sensitive as I have a gig on Saturday and need to fix this all in my evenings after work..!

also it seems number 1 in the layer switch isn't affected, that one is correct pitch as before... still digging into the bug...
perhaps anyone know how I could get the older version of the app back in the meantime so I can ensure my live set works as before just for now?
There is no way to get an older version of the app back.
Once it's been updated then it's been updated.
Are you using an external audio interface as a ext digital clock?
Do you have any other apps running in the background?
If no then maybe you will have to create a Master tuning knob and use that to tune all of the Wave scanners.
I've done that before however I do know going that way will be tedious and time consuming.
It was a bug, that got fixed. Original report "The problem is the pitch of a loaded sample is off by about a semitone. In Flexi, it happens when stretch is activated and sync is set to 1 beat or more. In Wave scanner, it happens every time. This makes it difficult to match the pitch of the original sample. For the Looper, when an auto saved project containing a Looper is automatically reloaded on launch, the pitch of the recorded audio will be slightly off as well. " - reported by 2 users
I'm really sorry :/.
What can I do, I can prepare a testflight version tomorrow, for you with previous "buggy" version. It may take up to 2 days until Apple accepts that. So it's managable.
Please email me at info@beepstreet.com so we can figure this out faster.
thats no worries at all - I can retune each wavescanner individually, I just wanted to check before doing so that another future update would not set this back again. oh and @gravitas if you're free on Saturday theres a free gig at Planet Wax in New Cross Gate i'll be playing at, come on down!
Planet Wax…dope.
I’ll see if I can make it.
Planet Wax is awesome. Set going to be streamed?
don't think so, but follow blockpowermusic on youtube for streams, 2nd anniversary coming up 25th september, worth checking out
Oh you know what actually it is gonna be on YouTube too turns out!
Nice! I'll check for it. May have to catch on the archives though!
