Crashes on loading samples
I’ve been trying to load a few different wav’s from my local storage in the files app - but most of the time when I click on the file I want to load the app crashes.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Here’s a crash report @giku — the crash happens with a new project with a single sampler module loaded
Can't confirm.
What format (bit depth, word length, sample rate, compressed or linear pcm?) and file size are they?
How do you load these samples? You import them first?
Ok so the real issue seems to be the “Create zones from folder” option. Whenever I try to tap “select current folder” it crashes.
The folder’s I’m trying to import are anywhere from 5 to 20 files - mixture of aif and wav files - maximum 10mb / folder
They are mostly 44.1 khz 24 bit, with the occasional 32-bit file
Thank you! From crashlog, I see a problem with one of these files.
Could you send me this folder (e.g. zipped via dropbox) ?
Here you go!
Thank you... iOS can't recognize these files as a valid AIF.. (I know Drambo shouldn't crash - fixing this).
The funny thing is I'm trying to load Bass / Pez Noise C1.aif into Amadeus on OsX (one of the most popular audio editors) and getting this :)
Gosh that’s bizarre. I swear these files work in ableton but I can’t seem to open them for conversion with XLD even... I removed some faulty files and the folders import correctly with no crash!
Thanks for the help :)
It’s an ableton thing if anyone is curious https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?t=170814
Good to know!
Yep, Ableton tag their protected files as AIFC type "able".
You can batch find such files in all sub folders using "soxi" from the sox package available from http://sox.sourceforge.net/
Example command:
find . -name "*.aif" -exec soxi {} \; 2>&1 |grep Unsupported
