Midi note off on track change
The issue arises when playing with an external keyboard. I have several tracks loaded with different instruments and play one at a time. It's very nice to be able to instantly switch between instruments just by changing track. However, if the selected track is changed before all MIDI note offs have been sent you get stuck notes.
Would it be possible to recognise if a MIDI note on has been sent from an external device and the track has been changed (active track mode on MIDI recieve) before a corresponding MIDI note off received? Either just sending the MIDI note offs on track change or redirecting them from new track to original track to stop stuck notes.
I don't know if this is a bit niche and it's not a huge deal but stuck notes are a bit annoying. 🙂

I like the second idea more. This ‘bug’ could come handy when f.e sustaining notes for arp on one track, switch to another and play on top.
Yes the second fix is the more deluxe option.
Definitely. Midi notes have to be handled consistently. A note off message that has had its note on message on a different track should be sent to the original track.
