Casey Connor has done a remarkable series of videos about the subject.
The Tempo Circularity (The Risset Beat) is amazing.
Thank you for posting this.
Yeah, the risset beat sounds so evil here)
I wouldn’t say that actually.
Fascinating in it’s complexity, yes.
When someone uses the word ‘evil’? it mean actually means ‘evil’ in my book.
Context, english is my first and only spoken language.
Still, I’m glad you like it. :)
@Gravitas Watching it might spark evil GAS indeed 😅
Yeah, “GAS” the dreaded syndrome that afflicts all gear heads.
“What shall I get next on the shopping list?”.....dun....dun...daaaaa.....
cue sinister cinematic music with a celeste playing in the distance.
I’m on fire all the time so what’s going on there then......lololololol 😅
@Gravitas At least you're spending some quality time using your gear 👍🏼😊
Yeah, that I am.
No complaints. 😏🙏🏽
right now I lusting over overdrive pedals ^^
I made some tracks that would benefit from a gnarly overdrive and a little noise
I dont know
some of these illusions dont really work for me
with the barberpole I can usually hear it fading in again which destroys the illusion
I think these mostly work on average Joe out there. If you have any level of listening acuteness you won’t have the pleasure of this blissful ignorance.
It’s a bit like asking a lay person to find a particular instrument within a complex arrangement. Most of the time: no can do.
I’d probably struggle to single out a viola in symphony so should probably shut up. 🤣
^^ dont worry I always struggle with the listening tests on orchestra pieces too.
if its low notes its probably a cello ^^
who cares if its this or that string sound ? ^^
its because I am not very familiar with those kinds of sounds ...
but if its artificial I feel much more competent because thats the kind of sound I noodle for years and years.
lol, why doesn't someone slap me on the head?
I should just get Saturn and not mess with audio interface and stompboxes :)
