Impaktor skinned percussion (synthetic djembe, darbouka, tablas etc)
I’ve been at it for years now and I still haven’t been successful at recreating a decent and satisfying to play impaktor Djembe style patch.
Now, I’m not talking realistic. More like a synthetic hand drum that would have similar characteristics to a Djembe, or rather giving the sensation of playing one.
I guess part of the problem is that I don’t have a vibrating object between my legs (insert a dick joke here) but still, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s attempted something similar and had a degree of success.
Again, I’m not looking for realism, more like similar acoustic /resonant characteristics

This morning’s fruits. I’d like a bit more sheen/brightness in the slap but I think it’s the case of not enough high frequencies in the source generator as opposed to the lack of eq at the end.
