Both contact less faders
What about the mix fader. Bare essentials but wireless ! best would be a fader with 2 buttons from the octa.
thank you! i was hoping others would give new options 😊
Mixfader can be used with smartphones and tablets running on iOS, Android & Windows.
- Apple iOS devices:
(following devices or newer): iPhone 5 onwards, Retina displays, iOS 9 onwards
Hey the quneo has an horizontal fader also !!!!
This one is cheaper than the MixFader (!) yet much more advanced:
It's class compliant, works with iOS MIDI apps and the buttons could be for all kinds of Drambo control.
The jog wheels are touch sensitive which is an additional possible modulation source!
@giku The three rotary encoders left jog wheel, right jog wheel and Browse are all incremental controllers that could be used in drambo if it supports incremental MIDI CC.
LEDs can be turned on or off by Drambo by simply sending MIDI note messages to the controller.
(Let's PM for details).
Edit: I might get me one and add a USBMIDI-to-Bluetooth adapter to it...
Behringer x-touch mini
The fader is vertical, but there are buttons, layers, and knobs with midi feedback.
damn its a shame it doesn't have two buttons on this? Probably the best quality midi crossfader for the price point so far. I wonder if it is contactless? I think so.
best I think would be to go diy route.
@rs2000 @giku midi note feedback from drambo to Enable midi controller lights would be awesome, get that to work with the elektron devices would be killer.
Note messages are transmitted already, so it should be doable, if I understand your request correctly.
Yep, say you want your elektron mute buttons to light up when drambo mute buttons are lit. That sort of thing. Could get streambyter to do it via AUM.
To make MIDI controller integration work for more than one specific controller, a number of features would be required:
@TheInvisibleMan This video is crazy! 😁
The best place for such playful things IMHO would be the Ableton-style clip view that is planned in the future. Here you could re-purpose a clip launched by a MIDI note to send a polyphonic note sequence to create Launchpad graphics (like in Modstep).
@rs2000 @rec posted the video :-)
For me if drambo could just light up the mutes/Transport buttons on devices like digitone etc.. I be happy.@Geir i have a feeling something like streambyter is required.
Damn I copied the wrong person sorry geir!
just managed to do a deal for 65 euro on a mixfader including shipping, got a ton of other midi gear for knobs and buttons. lets see how it works...
OT as midi controller lol
(at least it's being used)
As soon as we get Midi Learn going on Drambo, I know what I'm using my OctaTrack for :)
Blast your eyes for having an octatrack! Im jealous. Drambo and octatrack is a great combo.
@TheInvisibleMan Here you go. What you want and how you want it:
Devine EZ-Creator Fade USB/MIDI controller
Just tested the OT in AUM. The crossfader isn’t exposed via Midi so i won’t be able to use it with Drambo 🤨
I pretty sure the OT crossfader sends midi, i read about people using it.
hrmmm....will have to look again...but nothing was showing up for me...
Apparently it sends midi cc 48
Guess I could read the manual. :) Thanks. Will check that out.
We need the most expensive midi crossfader in action! 😀 i wonder if there will be a new octatrack one day, i will buy it.
