2 modulators 1 carrier Fm
I'm a fan of stripped down things that are super powerful and this is a great example. For the longest time I would use only 1 modulator for most my sounds and if I felt the need to go beyond that I'd go overboard and use 3-4 but 2 is the sweet spot.

I like to put a mixer after the carrier also so that I can mix in the two modulators if I like.
Cool, thanks for sharing, but are you modulating anything? Just mixing 2 operators to modulate the carrier instead of 1, doesn’t seem to make much difference (I only did a quick test on iphone speakers, though). If you start modulating things, like op1 modulation op2, and the mixer modulating op3) then you can get some crazy timbers, but again I don’t see what’s the mixer bringing that a single operator modulated couldn’t also achieve.
Maybe Im missing something
The above picture is just the patch in it default state. Something like this pic is more interesting. Sorry it's not cropped I was having technical issues.
The top mixer knob isn’t at 0. Might be hard to see. Its set very low.
