Scenes / midi mapping behaviour
Hi, couple things that if implemented would solve a problem for my live set
for scenes it would be very useful if we could LOCK any modules within Drambo that we do not want to be affected by a scene - this way we can change scene parameters on the fly but exclude any controls that are being sequenced externally from being affected
also would be useful if we could choose scenes without the same control also engaging the scene edit - so we can switch on the fly and again as above exclude any controls that are being sequenced externally from being added to the scene
if we had independent cc mapping of tracks / scenes this could fix it all, allowing us to switch scene without enabling the scene morph control assign button as it were….

it's been a year since I asked this but I have to bump it, it would be such a game changer for my live set having access to other scenes without risking affecting their state for a live performance
Sorry I don't exactly get what you're trying to do - why would you want to map controls to scenes if the controls are already mapped to MIDI CC?
Scenes will only change controls that were explicitly mapped to a scene.
Basically I use my Elektron syntakt to sequence Drambo, and if I want to switch scenes in Drambo it enables the mapping mode for that scene, updating anything that changes; so if I’m running the sequencer and if there are any midi cc param locks or lfos on my midi tracks they then change the mapping for the scene on controls in Drambo that I don’t want to edit.
I simply want to switch to the scene so I can use it, not edit it whilst doing so.
Yes, mapping scene changes is not straightforward and works best with pad controllers.
What kind of change in MIDI mapping would you suggest?
Essentially if we could use assign a midi control or note to each scene to instantly change it rather than access its edit state; so I can assign eg midi channel 16 cc #21 to #37 as all scenes for left half crossfader state, midi channel 16 cc #41 to #57 as all scenes for left half crossfader state, as an example
