Transport triggering index in layer switch module.
I have a switch button module connected to the layer switch module’s index via gate counter in order to change between layers.
However, I’ve noticed today that no matter which layer is selected it always goes back when transport is restarted.
I see the there is clock name on the input of gate counter and I’m guessing it is picking up the transport message. How can I avoid this?

That's by design.
Just use a Gate & Velocity Sequencer instead of the Gate Counter.
Thanks. I was indeed wondering if there was another module I could use.
@rs2000 i couldn’t make it work with gate for some reason but I hooked it up to velocity and it’s doing it’s job. Is it supposed to work with gate?
No, velocity is indeed the one that gives you any desired value.
I know, sometimes it can require some getting used to "mis-using" modules but who cares ;)
Haha, well, at least software is reasonably safe. If it as hardware my house would always smell of burning components.
😄
Ok @rs2000 we have a niggle.
The gate/velocity sequencer resets on project load. 😒
Can you think of any other way of doing this?
What's the problem? You wanted it to be independent from transport, right?
yes, but when I load the project the gate velocity sequencer resets to step one which resets the layer switch to layer one and not the one it was saved with.
Well then adjust the velocity of step one to the value you want 😉
