Drambo's MIDI In and MIDI Out are not connected, that's why you don't get any data here.
For this kind of configuration, in theory you'll need the MIDI Feedback port, but I'm hesitating to recommend it because we have not enough control over Drambo's internal MIDI routing yet.
What does work is running a MIDI loopback app in the background (like Streambyter) and using it for internal re-routing.
I've never seen any app that connects its virtual out to its virtual in. It's something people regularly expect would work though.
But, unless you're trying to route backward (to a higher track) there's nothing special needed to pass midi between tracks. Just tap the input, then navigate to the track and the output that you want, then tap that. You can route midi from track 1 to track 2, 3, 4, etc. You just can't route from 2, 3, 4 to 1 without a midi feedback module and the resulting delay that adds.

Connecting the dRambo midi ports directly would create midi feedback and either stall or crash dRambo.
Giku most probably hard coded it not to send midi messages from dRambo Midi Out to dRambo Midi In.

Or am I missing something?

I hear you.
The only midi port that can send midi signals upstream is the "MIDI feedback" port.
When sending midi from Track to Track it has to go along or downwards so for instance
we can send midi from Track 1 to Track 2 however we cannot send midi from Track 2 to Track 1
without the Midi feedback port and the dRambo midi port only sends downstream.
Thanks for the feedback. Working via the tracks is usable. Sometimes I wish the integrated help would tell a little more.
