MPE pitch bend

I know how to create an instrument and set it to MPE in drambo, but where do i set the midi range for things like pitch bend? As an example, another program i like to use outside drambo is Audiolayer. Im able to make a multi sample instrument and it supports MPE by default. If i go to the settings of my sampled instrument, under Pitch, i can set bend to 48. Then i can play it in Velocity Keyboard by setting that to 48. When i hit a note and slide up a whole step, it does the proper pitch bend 1 whole note up. However when i set MPE in Drambo and play the instrument in Velocity Keyboard, my slide up to a whole step ahead plays the tone at a half step. That sounds convoluted, basically if im invelocity keyboard and strike A and slide to B, in Audiolayer it will be the B tone, but with the drambo instrument sliding from A to B will play a Bb when i get to B.

  • I don't think it can be changed in Drambo I think you have to change it in Velocity Keyboard. I had this problem with Geoshred and found the solution in Geoshred midi settings.

  • Can you tell me the Geoshred solution? I have that app as well

  • Ok so i got it working in velocity keyboard. In the pitch bend section, it defaults to 48. When i changed it to 12, it slides up to the correct note

go to midi settings then click edit then click the square with the pen next to one of the MPE midi settings I don’t recall which one. From there you can set the pitch bend range.

  • How do you like Velocity Keyboard compared to Geoshred?

  • i find that whatever host i use geoshred in, it never retains the scale i set, velocity keyboard does. As an example, if i set my project up and have geoshred controlling synths, if iset the scale to lets say A Phrygian and save it, it never fails when i reopen the project geoshred has gone back to the default C major. Thats the only reason i use velocity keyboard over it. If my project is using the geoshred instruments, i use geoshred, but have the same scales problem
