Combine pitch and gate from two tacks?
Hi,
I hope this is not a newbie question: is it possible to combine pitch and gate from two different tracks?
One track would play a single note, that would be the fate. A second track would play different pitches. A third track would combine both and play the last pitch recevied from track two, but only when gate occurs on track one.
The note module can combine pitch and gate from separate modules, but how can it get both signals from two other tracks?
Cheers!

If I've understood correctly, that should be simple. Make sure there's a midi to cv module on track 1 and 2. In track 3 tape the gate input in the appropriate module and navigate to track one to connect it to the gate there. Then, tap the note input in the appropriate module in track three, navigate back to track 2 and connect it there.
I recommend the use of sub tracks: Drambo has a “Track” module that creates a track inside a track. For your setup I would add two subtracks, one for gate and one for pitch to your synth/instrument track and use MIDI/CV modules to get the individual CV / Gate signals off the sub tracks. You could even put the MIDI/CV module inside the subtrack and connect the track output to the CV outs. These track outputs are not limited to audio. They can be used for CV or gate as well.
Thank you, it worked! I didn’t realize that you can freely connect modules between tracks. I have lots to learn in Drambo, it’s unlike anything else that I know, but the potential of Drambo is worth it. Thanks again!
I don’t know all the modules yet, the Track module is quite cool, I’ll try it out, thank you for the idea!
