Mapping Analog Filter Cutoff to Knobs Module
Hello,
I’m currently building a synth in Drambo, for which I’m using the Analog Filter module in MM12 OB mode. I’m trying to map the Tone, Cutoff, & Resonance to a Knobs module for the following reasons:
- I want to hide the Filter Type, Bias, & Hi-Q when in Compact View.
- I want to place the Analog Filter controls somewhere earlier in the chain.
Setting the Min value to 0 and Max value to 1, the Knobs module seems to align perfectly with the Tone & Resonance. However, setting the same min-max range for the Cutoff doesn’t seem to allow the Knobs module to fully open the filter. Anyone know why this is the case & what max value I need to properly replicate the original Cutoff knob? My ears tell me that a Max value of 1.4 is the sweet spot, but I just wanted confirmation from somebody else.
I’ve attached an instrument rack preset that recreates my issue. Thanks.

I've noticed that too and I guess that the reason for it is the frequency scaling.
You might want to use the filter resonance in self-oscillating mode and using the pitch signal 1:1 for controlling cutoff frequency would make the filter a proper oscillator, so the cutoff modulation behaves like the pitch input in an oscillator.
And yes, you'll need to increase the input CV range for cutoff modulation if you want to cover its full range.
The same behavior happens with external midi hardware control as well. The 0-127 range does not cover the entire range of the Cutoff parameter.
That's not good, thanks for reporting!
