Gate module with switch element
Before bothering @giku with an email, I wondered if anyone could help me. I am looking for a gate module with a switch element on the front panel, a lot like Layers, but instead of playing all signals simultaneously, only the selected input would be let through.
For example, let’s say I have signals A, B, and C. They would connect to this module and the module would display their names (just like Layers). Touching A, however, would mute all other signals; likewise, touching C would do the same. Is there an existing module that does this? I think it would be incredibly useful for designing Instruments (multimode exclusive switch).

As a workaround, I've recently shown how to use a slider to switch between multiple inputs, including labels.

There will be 3 generic modules: 1-N Switch , N-1 Switch and N-1 Switch mixer. They will work with any continuous signal.

I'm thinking about reordering modules by changing multiple routings from one switch, like in classic analog synths or in advanced audio effects.
As outputs will be selected via buttons, there will be a separate input for modulation (normalized 0->1)
Buttons disappear, when this input is connected.
Thought about using a knob for this.. but this should be instant.

Removing the buttons when modulated is OK as long as there is some visual clue about the current routing, even if it's just a tiny color dot next to the currently active output.

Ah and Switch layers will be usable as well. No modualtion this time. Optimization - only currently selected layer will be processed. Modulation with e.g. noise would kill it :)

I always have that in my mind, we don't want modulation to kill our CPUs...
Actually in some cases it would certainly make sense to have both options: Modules with and without modulation inputs...?
Anyway, as long as a modulation input is not connected, would it make a difference in CPU load?
If I'm understanding this correctly. There's going to be a 1-input to many-output splitter, and each of the outputs will be independently modulatable?
If this is the case, I should be able to hide the switch and use a row of sliders to attenuate the individual outputs?
