Sequencer SHIFT function enhancement

edited March 2021 in Feature Wish-lists

Currently, when you have only one step selected, the shift function does nothing.

Suggestion: When only one step is highlighted, shifting that note will move the note(s) on that step by the chosen amount and merge them with whatever sits on the destination step. Note lengths will remain unchanged.

This would solve two problems in one go:

  • The SHIFT function now also makes sense with notes on a single selected step
  • This would be the first time that we can move a note or chord without destroying existing notes on the target step.
