Instruments "compact view" states loss when parent is expanded.

I've noticed that when an instrument rack contains others expendable modules (racks), expanding the parent will recursively expand all of its children instruments/modules.
This may lead to *very* long instrument chains that are hard to work with. This behavior is unexpected as the collapsed/compact state is very useful to manage complexity in instrument racks hierarchy.
The expected behavior would be that the collapsed/expanded states to be persistent and individually set by the user when needed (like a standard tree navigation system).
