Is there currently a way to copy and paste clip cells via midi?

What would your typical workflows be like?
No, I mean simple duplication of cells within the same project just without touching the screen.
If I could midi map the duplicate button I could hold that, press the source clip and then destination clip, then release.
It works this way in Circuit and feels natural.
