Note going from one pattern into the next
What's the correct way to create a note whose length exceeds the current pattern? I'm talking about eg C1 that has a step length of 32, and begins eg 4 steps before the pattern ends. In this example, I'd want the note to be played in the following pattern for 28 steps.
Whenever I do this, the results vary. Sometimes the note is played in full (32 steps are played), and sometimes it ends with the initial pattern (4 steps are played).
I also experimented with adding that same note at the beginning of the following pattern -- with the same result.
I could imagine that the specific sound generator influences this. But I don't know.
Im not sure whether I express my situation in a good way. Can you follow -- and what am I doing wrong? :)
