P-Locked parameters aren’t tied to the same track the P-Locks are on.
Found this out by accident, my first thought was this must be an oversight, it’s crazy. A P-lock can be placed on any track and affect a parameter on any other track. Why the hell, it’s going to get confusing, except... with P-locks on the same track as the parameter they affect, as the sequencer hits a trigger the p-lock is cancelled and the parameter reverts to default. If the P-lock is somewhere else it doesn’t have to hit any triggers so continues unchallenged. You can put a trigger to cancel it where you want, it’s not effected by what’s being played. The P-lock track can be muted, by a P-Lock on another track. There could be multiple tracks with P-lock variations, muting and unmuting. Oh the possibilities.

Pretty cool, I didn’t know that. Off to play, thanks!
It works, but I do find it hard to place them on the other track. Have you found an easy or convenient way to do that?
Go into edit mode, select the step, then select tracks view (the three solid lines at the top, don’t know what the proper name is), then scroll away. It’s not super convenient but it works. I’m not convinced this isn’t just some random quirk but pretty cool regardless.
Haha, that’s fun! Good enough for me right now 😊
Thank you!
Goes without saying, assigning track mutes to scenes for p-lock tracks for some lovely p-lock swaps. This jam could go on for hours...
