I spent only several minutes on this... I don't have engine sound sample, so I sampled 2 FM oscillators (that sucks)... But initial effect sounds like this. I can hear now that AM modulation should be stereo. Moreover I would add a stereo modulated delay rack with short times and some sort of intertia to control parameter (Integrator module or resonant filter:))

Anyone's got the Kyma patch? Would be a nice Drambo project!
looks like just a static sample messed with doppler and delay ?
wacom is only modulating doppler and delay
everything in kyma sounds awesome
From the way it sounds, it must be more than that...
timestrech ?
There must be some modulation involved - ring mod maybe?
As about 5 I would go further and play with Haas effect = stereo delay

The drying machine is synthesized in Drambo 😂
Thanks for the ideas! I should add panning and source pitch modulation indeed.
That high-pitched fan sound is too loud as well...

This is fun!
Its definitely not a "magic doeppler" effect. Just a finetuned set of delays, combs, amps and lfos.
btw. I've been trying to recreate Haas effect..
Im creating stereo control signal by mixing 2 knobs with L/R to stereo module. This signal is used to modulate Delay.
As an effect Im getting a beautiful binaural panning. But... it turns into a comb when I turn this back to mono (Stereo to mono module).
A nice DSP exercise
