Cool new app. However, when I put in a custom URL for an internet stream in one of the user slots, the address is there, but no connection to the stream is made. It just sits there inert. Any tricks or tips on custom URLs and how to use them?
Can you share the URL? Does the same URL work when you paste it in Safari? The only streams that haven’t worked for me in Drambo haven’t worked in Safari either, so I’m guessing it’s an encoder issue.
I put in a Radio Caprice address for Electro-Acoustic music: http://213.141.131.10:8000/musiqueconcrete which works just fine in my custom URL radio apps (like TuneIn) and these URLs also work in iTunes desktop when you "open a stream" etc.
Thanks, I took a look at the stream information and it seems like Radio Unit has issues with "MPEG-4 HE AAC" streams (as reported by QuickTime).
@giku For instance, the MP3 and AAC 128kb SomaFM streams here work fine, but AAC-HE 32kb and 64kb don't. Or maybe it's a bitrate issue? The streams at http://213.141.131.10:8000 are all 96kb.
Yeah, the problem with debugging music concrete stations is that you never know what you’re supposed to be hearing!! 😂
Seriously though. I think music concrete is amazing for sampling because it often has single instruments playing, noises etc. There is another cool station that I’m gutted I’m not able to use in Dramboradio.
I don’t think BBC1 aka Radio 1 deserves to be on the default top spot. They’re so heavily engaged in loudness wars it is almost impossible to listen to. BBC6 music would be a much better choice ;)
aacp may work, but this stream http://www.radioswissclassic.ch/fr/live/aacp.m3u does not. It works in VLC and in the browser. Radio Unit accepts it, makes several internet lookups (logged by Privacy Pro), but produces no audio.

@giku Content type is "audio/aacp" ;)
audio/aacp works...
Whats funny I used this stream http://213.141.131.10:8000/musiqueconcrete in Safari, it works, but I hear glitches only.

@supadom this URL worked for me: http://184.154.202.243:8014/autodj
@giku yeah, audio/aacp works, but it looks like certain variants (not sure if it's the right term) don't
This is gold! Thanks @NoiseFloored

(yes I know I can delete it....and I did!)

Im to stupid to goggle the stream url of BFBS 😝
Would it be possible for radio stations within radio unit saved together with the project so they can open from iCloud on another device?
Or do people have another reliable way of keeping stations lists updated across their devices?

I haven't tried with 2 devices, but I guess it works like this already?
I think I did overwrite stations and whatever I saved was in the project, to be tested
@lala
grrrrr, the spectacular sound ain’t working anymore ☹️
That URL doesn't work in Chrome or VLC either. Looks like it's idle, or gone away.
