Drambo Standalone: How to make AUv3 MIDI INPUT apps Record notes in the Drambo steps sequencer?
I still cannot figure out how to make an AUv3 MIDI app loaded in Drambo Standalone Record MIDI notes stamp drawn in the Drambo steps sequencer?
So far I can only make the Auv3 MIDI apps send MIDI notes be played audio in another AUV3 app instrument in Drambo standalone.
Or, I can make visible MIDI notes drawn into ATOM for instance but would like to understand the limitation I met on not being able to get them in Drambo standalone step sequencer.
(It works perfectly in AUM where I can get MIDI notes coming from ROZETA Bassline for instance into Drambo AUV3 steps sequencer while pressing Drambo record button while playing AUM.)
Thank you in advance if you can help me on this.

You may need to route the generated MIDI out of Drambo, through AUM, then back in to Drambo. This has been discussed *a lot* in the [AudioBus Drambo thread] (https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/42554/drambo-is-an-au-host-now-the-new-drambo-mega-thread/p1). Try a search there to find it. Sorry, I'm no expert, just a follower at this point.
Yes thanks a lot. But as reported initially, by rooting Track modules input to the audio&Midi AU output/Multiouput from the Main track I can hear the sound from each track destination and get the note drawn in Atom but do NOT get the Drambo steps sequencer updated accordingly... I would like to understand why for my own knowledge improvement. Is it a limitation from the app or did I miss something?
For instance, I would like to automatically record DrumComputer patterns in the Drambo Standalone step sequencer directly in individual track (or in the same one) directly.
Have you tried the setup described here: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/892021/#Comment_892021
@uncleDave thank you for the link.
I’m going to have a look at it and will let you know 🙂
If you want to stay inside Drambo and don't want to go to AUM and back, Viktor Porof's Midi Tools are a valid option
(if you got some spare cash - they're only 5,49€.).
They are a set of very usefull midi-AuV3's, one of them is 'Midi Route', which lets you route midi outside of Drambo.
Like so:
just be careful with midi-feedback-loops ☹️
Oh yes thank you. I forgot Midi tools / Midi Route from Victor that I used in BM3 for a while now for the same reason.
I get the issue now and added new workarounds to cope with it 👍🏼
