Access to files in 'on my iPad'
I'd like to be able to back up my files that I create in Drambo, by accessing them in Files, like other apps.

Think it’s down to an apple restriction on AU?
But maybe Drambo could automatically create duplicates of all files, in a viewable Drambo Files App folder? AFAIK iOS duplicate files don’t take up extra space....so we could access these duplicate files as a nice backup/share solution for exports. Users would only need to go through the fiddlier processes when Importing (so that files can be used in AU).
Maybe worth considering @giku ?
or Export Folder &/or ‘Multiple select’ files in Drambo browser would pretty much solve it too, and maybe easier to implement?
Audio Units have no access and can't create app document folders. No idea why Apple introduced such a limitation.
How about a zip folder option with export to files, like BeatHawk, poss ?
What about WebDAV to mount the whole Drambo folder using your app of choice, no matter if iOS or Desktop, in your local network wirelessly?
It works like a charm in Nanostudio 2.
Also, since the AUv3 and the standalone both have access to the files, I wouldn't mind if I had to open the standalone app to exchange files.
I like this idea :)
Sounds cool for tech savvy folk, good feature addition for sure, but export folder/multiple select in browser would still be cool too for general users :)
Or how about allowing saving to iCloud within the app? Then I could do a quick cloud save in addition to the usual one.
Thing that confuses me is that we can export a project or an instrument rack to any folder in Files, from an AU instance of Drambo in AUM....
So couldn’t Drambo just duplicate it’s hidden file structure, to an accessible files folder in Files app? So when we save a project or a ins rack or whatever in AU or standalone, then these duplicate file versions (kind of like ‘automatic’ exports) would show in the accessible Files folder and be available for backup/share?
yeah you’re right, I guess the duplicates would actually need to be ‘created’ rather than ‘copied’ versions, so it’d take double the space :/ (apparently ‘copy/pasted’ files don’t eat space in IOS, they’re just like shortcuts AFAIK....).
Yeah agreed.. jus tryin help figure way to get standard file/folder access while swerving those Apple tripwires :/
But yeah export folder & multi-file select in Drambo’s own browser would make it pretty comparable.
