@lala yes! I’m still wrapping my head around it. So far the most straightforward application I can see is fronting this between all the mod sources and your synth, and labeling everything so it corresponds to the target. Then hiding all your mod knobs in the rack. 8x8 is just broken out into layers per output. It’s still pretty concise, and maybe even easier to read.
lets go crazy with it without having to repatch everything
its somehow very musical to modulate with a limited number of modulation sources, instead of just thinking ok I want to modulate that too, let’s just add another lfo to do that …
being able to mix it all with different amounts and positive or negative leads you to things you probably would have never patched like that (because it’s not the most obvious thing to do) – let’s have happy accidents
@gravitas thanks, I didn’t expect it to be so versatile! I dont make use of velocity enough but it’s great to have a few simple lines running into a track on Drambo and to vary their tone this way with velocity.
It seems like Bipolar mode isn’t working right. Im not sure whats happening but when I engage it I can’t control the amount of modulation in the way you’d expect with a bipolar knob.
@Johnisfaster what kind of behavior are you getting from the output in bipolar mode? When input level knob is left of center, it should be an inverted signal. If the input signal is unipolar, it will basically be negative. If the input value is bipolar, then it will be flipped around 0.
I figured it out. I was wrong I was getting 0 at center. My problem was I was thinking of the Bipolar button as if it was affecting knobs in rows from left to right. Like I thought the top button changed the top row of knobs.

sick
Does anyone want an 8x8 version?
Nice!
Nice. Some usage inspiration: https://youtu.be/jeWHepyO1Wk
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
I’ve never used one of these before, it’s a lot of fun. 8x8 will be shared later.
^^
its really comfortable to control all the modulation from one place, isn’t it?

It’s for lazy patchers :)
here are my preferred modulation targets
here are the mod sources

it gets the most bang out of a small system

This is superb.

I use velocity a lot because I like dynamics.
A few nudges here or there can make a huge difference overall.

I just tested for all inputs and outputs.
In bipolar mode shouldn’t center be 0 and therefor no signal? Cause thats what Im expecting but not what Im getting.

Ah got it :) yep it’s for the output. I can that more clear.
