How to get Flexi to start after recording?

I admittedly did some light searching on this and turned up empty.

I'm trying to get Flexi to behave somewhat like a loop pedal, click the button to record in at the start of a bar, click again to stop recording at the end of a bar and start immediately playing back in sync.

I can't get it to start immediately after recording. If it set it to pattern then it will start if I stop the main playback and start again. Closest I've come.

Also, any way to stop and start it manually but still in sync with clips?


I'm sure there's simple answers here, likely involving gates or some such but I'm too dense to put it together right now.

    try putting a trig on the first step and set flexi to one shot.

    Mode=1shot, Launch=Trigger, then add a note that spans the whole pattern (when using Launch=Gate and placing the note in step sequencer instead of the piano roll, you may need to extend the note for seamless playback).
