midi split events
On my Akai Force i can edit the midi piano roll of a clip and pick a note and split it in whatever number i want. Is this available on Drambo? I have a hi hats pattern and i want to simulate a Trap style hat by selecting one of the notes and splitting it in half so that it hits twice in that same beat.

What you can do though is enable "Use last note length" in the piano roll menu, reduce the length of that one note and just tap again behind it. This will have the same effect.
Wouldn’t Retrigger work too?
I think more discrete editing is still a bit lacking. To me, the default note length should be that of the current zoom levels note division - zoom in for 16th or 32nd notes and that is the default length of entered notes. We still need triplet grids, as well.
