You can turn a modulation source on or off using a Multiply module as a kind of VCA. Patch a Trigger Button (or anything that supplies a gate/trigger) into the Pulse Divider and then send the Pulse Divider output to one input on the Multiply module. Then patch your modulation source into the other input of the Multiply module. Zero times anything equals zero and one times anything is itself, therefore the output of the Multiply module will be the same as the modulation input when the Pulse Divider output is high (1) and will be off (0) when the Pulse Divider is low (0).

Feed the clock with a counter that takes note gate as clock source (make sure steps/beat is the same in both)
