Onboard AUDIO recorder?
I wish there was a hidden onboard AUDIO recorder with a dedicated record button somewhere and once you hit it, it would start to record: 1,2,4,8,16,32 -auto rec. or whatever # of bars, or unlimited length and stop at end of bar, all synced to BPM. The audio would be auto saved in audio files in Drambo, for immediate use.
Could such recorder handle like 1 to 10 minute audio for example?
Would it need a dedicated sampler for playback?
I see it useful for recording tweaking Audio (without using P-locks on track) and/or sequenced data, or combination of both from Master AUDIO output.
Thank you

Thanx, yes of course. I was thinking of a dedicated internal recorder like many apps have ...Sugar Bytes, Ape soft, Vaslievs Scapers etc....that are saved in AS or internally.
It seems like a replica of what AUM has. Why not host it in AUM and use it’s loop recorder? Easy enough?
I really like ApeMatrix recorder because it's not fixed to the timeline and just records everything, great for experimental patches which don't depend if the timeline is playing and also records the effects tails etc when the timeline stops.
This would be helpful indeed, especially when processing external audio.
Not high priority for me but useful.
AUM might have recording on board but you don't have that option in the standalone version.
hm how ? audio export exports just mixdown...
It could be useful and maybe a solution if recordings were available in the samples directory (or have I missed something?).
ah "manual" stem export by muting tracks :))) of course this is possible but this is not what is usually called "stem export" - this term is used for automatic exporting, you hit export once and result is set of i dividual tracks eventually divided also per pattern
this would be SUPER usefull ...
