I couldn’t unpack any of the sit files on that page. Tried an ios app that said it could do sit files. Idk. Looks like at least half of them are only available as sit files.
Convolver is great. I've simply been dropping in percussion samples (hats, snares, cymbals, etc), and using the impulse generator as a sound source. This can bring some life to the samaples, in that you can adjust the spectral content of the 'sample' by filtering or adding noise to the impulse, before it hits the convolver. Makes cymbals shine and sparkle more realistically than just dropping the same sample into Flexi.
The current downside is that the convolver can't adjust sample pitch. Add that, and the foundations for the most practical convolution player on IOS are there :)

hm, reading the discussion
the dual mono thing, pan source left, get reverb only on left side is wrong
that's not what a room does
if a signal is panned left the reverb is supposed to come from the other side of the room ...
but true stereo reverbs are rare
I guess that much realism isn't needed in a pop production
Enjoy. 😁
Thanks for all the info!

you may want use something like this on a return channel for reverby things

its an old Mac file thing
the files work
(i have an old copy of this)
try on an old Mac with stuffit expander
if it says "can't open that" its just not able to read it ...
On the Mac the free 'The Unarchiver' (by MacPaw Inc.) from the AppStore expands almost everything thrown at it, even old *.sit files.
DUBBHISM IR Spring Reverb.rar
now lets send something through 2 different speakers
or record the same same thing with 2 different microphones
or mix boxes and microphones ...
look ma, no reverb.
you get the idea
or run it through a microphone and then through a speaker
No need to rent Hansa studio b 😁
take a synthesized clap or your boring sample ™
use a garbage can as resonator
record it with a mic
and send it through a delay with a 70s hifi box in the feedback loop
on the fly and in the box
😎

I love how efficient the convolver is
its a different world when you can use 2 or 3 or 4 in whatever combination pleases you
it opens up so many creative possibilities
use it as resonator, use it as a mic, use it as speaker, use it as reverb
and we are not at the end of cpu 😀
when you have only 1 mic or one box it sound ok
when you can mix 2 mics or 2 boxes at the same time
its aha I get what this is about and the sun gos up 😀
Impulse through 1-N to multiple convolvers loaded with similar percussion samples (round robin basically) is fun.
Alternatively, multiple impulse sources through an N-1 to a single convolver is also sparking joy.
lets play a random percussion sound
into a random microphone
into a random speaker
into a random room
record the output and cut new samples from the happy accident when it happens
