Say I have a note playing on every beat
I then need to send an Arp to the same midi channel
When notes B are being sent I need A that was played in the first place to remain on.
So
A = Note being played
B = Arp
When A=B leave A alone until A needs to stop.
Comments
When you say A=B, do you mean same note or any note at that time (on beat, in this example)?
The same note.
Can you drop a pic like screenshot of piano roll that shows what the desired output should look like...
thinking about note overlaps, sustained notes etc... as universal as possible :)
Okay cool, will do. :)
Here’s a project file.
Track 1 is A = C2
Track 2 is B = C2 - D#3
When A=B then A should continue unaffected.
Is this to avoid hanging or duplicated notes targeted at the same instrument? Or the lines going to different instruments?
Asking because I’m not sure I’m understanding the goal :)
anyway, take a look at this... is this want you want it to do?
Here in Sauf London we say things like “You f!!king Star”.🤩
This is brilliant, exactly what I needed.
It’s use case is going to be for lighting up the pads on anything actually
and knowing where the note you’ve played is still on or not.
Perfect for step sequencers.
Thank you every so much.
Cool! Btw you can remove the first Switch N-1 ‘Switch Note’ as it has no function only used it for monitoring purposes (feed the Note Gen pitch with the SCh Midi2CV pitch).
For light control you can probably get away without proper sustain implementation, which currently is lacking :)
I’ve already tried it for the Launchpad X and it works a treat.
A sustained note does work so that’s all cool, it does leave
the pad (A) switched on whilst the other pads (B) are switching on/off.
👍
