Anyway it’s kinda late for ‘24 but we should start planning the fiversary 2025. Just saying…
And it won’t be just talking, like @lala points out we do this already from the comfort of our couches. I’m thinking a Drambo-powered rave. Or at the very least blackjack and hookers
Interesting. I've tried several times over WiFi using different iDevices and always had hiccups sooner or later, and I never got it to stream with somewhat constant latency.
I love the app and the developer's efforts, also two thumbs up for making it open source but I wouldn't rely on it other than in experimental setups.
Edit: I haven't tried the latest updates though. Gotta try again for sure.
I used to be on sonobus beta back in the day and tried it with one of my local musician friend with not so good results.
I’m reading up on sonobus some more now and see they advice using an Ethernet adapter to connect to the network. Are you using one? How would the physical connection work? Most of those I see have a lightning or usb c plug on the other end which would be a problem if the the iPads port is already connected to an audio interface.

Yup.
Definitely.
Same wavelength.
I’ve been asking around and there’s been no takers so far.
They must be shy. ;)
I was thinking mallorca, or ibiza maybe, but I can do zoom
now we are talking 😂
Well that’s a start.😂
They have great food, good beer, good wine, exceptional ice cream and of course: Beeeeeeeaaaacheeeeeesssss 😁
my husband is going to be delighted.
hey honey, Im off to Ibiza/London/mt. st. elsewhere with the easy jet, to talk nerdy to the friendly strangers I always talk to. ^^
@lala see this is why I don’t have a husband, I can go to ibiza or mallorca anytime I like 😅

How’s your hubby policy on hookers, @lala?
not my cup of tea, but he wouldn't care, exept for a good story & a laugh. not the jealous type. :)
Ok, hookers it is.
Any other special requests? Gluten? Allergies?
Also if we all share a room we can cut on expenses
sounds like we need to rent the orgy tent. ^^
@pedro Up for it
@supadom pun or no pun intended? Cause I might have not thought this through
Too old for innuendos
Sorry, my last comment was a bit random.
What I meant to say is that I’m not really amused by hooker jokes.
I do realise that it’s just a lighthearted banter
I’m probably weird but, hey.
How about Sonobus?
I’ve never managed to make it work with acceptable results latency/sound quality. Do you have any experiences?
Yup, I’ve tested it a couple of times and it seems to be okay with live streaming.

I tried it ages with and you listened and it was smooth.
I’m going to try it again very soon. ;)
True, that session went great indeed 😊
I’m almost ready to start doing sessions on a regular basis. :)
I’m currently honing my rig to the nth degree, there’s more however I’m saving those things for when I begin. ;)
Okay, I’ve switched on Sonobus, obviously my user name is Gravitas and the group name is “dRambo”
The mix is my head phones mix.
I’m simply going through my current Korg volca dRm project which has ample Euclidean sequencers
and a Teenage Engineering filter trying to do an impression of an 808.
I’m just grooving however it’s good to test Sonobus with.
I’m here for awhile so pass through if you want. :)
How did it go last night @gravitas ?

@supadom no one joined however I left it on until around 2:40am.
I left dRambo running with me occasionally mixing stuff
and started sorting out the next stage of the music rig.
I may switch Sonobus on again tonight.
ok. Did you use wifi or cable ethernet connection to your home network?
@supadom there is no issue with latency as I’m sending audio out not recording in real time with another studio/musician.
Latency becomes an issue when recording
and monitoring at the same time.
What could be an issue is bit rate and whether
it can handle a lot of users listening in at good quality and that requires a lot of people listening in
and at this stage there’ll only be a handful at max.
