Without a polyphonic signal on the Poly Gate input, the noise generator will only output a monophonic noise signal.
If you add a gate signal to its input with polyphony higher than 1, then each voice will have its own noise signal that is not correlated to any other noise voice.
Uncorrelated noise means: If you subtract the noise of voice X from voice Y, you still get noise ;)
