Is there a way to fade parameters from one step to another?

Yes, you can use Misc => CV Glide.
The gate input controls the glide function.
The pitch input isn't only bound to pitch signals, you can feed it any CV signal.
BTW, thanks for asking @glain, that's a good and adjustable replacement for the Math => Integrator module that I hadn't thought of before π
Slew limiter as well, you can set the rise and fall speed

@glain another option is the Ramp module. It’s somewhat unconventional. I talk about it in this video, as well as the other ways to get smooth modulation as opposed to the sudden p-locking
